Ulf Rugumayo Amundsen

Ulf's interest for photography started as early as 12 years of age. His photographic work concerns the whole range of topics from natural landscapes and wildlife to cityscapes and portraits. Because of his contribution to ecotourism in Uganda by way of increased knowledge and activities linked to Africa over the past 25 years, he became a Fellow member in the Royal Geographical Society. In 2011 he was the sole guide for BBC to make a documentary on Rwenzori Mountains National Park (5109m) in Uganda, which he has been trekking more than 15 times since 1993. Ulf has arranged and guided countless photo trips to Africa in resent years, especially to Uganda, Rwanda and DRC to photograph the Mountain Gorillas among other primates. Ulf is regarded as a specialist when it comes to Mountain Gorillas, Virunga- and Rwenzori Mountains.

For the time being Ulf is the chairman of Førde photo club in Western Norway.
